In this article, we go over how to create a gift card in Bottle.

Gift cards are a great way to market your product and get your current customers to share the love with family and friends (and vise versa).

How gift cards work in Bottle:

Customers can purchase a gift card from your regular ordering page. Once a customer purchases a gift card, it will automatically be added to their account page. They can access their gift card there and then download it or send it to family or friends.

Step 1: Access the Product Library Begin by navigating to your Bottle dashboard. Locate the 'Sell' tab and select 'Product Library' from the options available.

Step 2: Create a New Product In the Product Library view, click on the 'New' button located in the top right-hand corner of your screen. This action will open a dialog box for creating a new product.

Step 3: Select Product Type Within the dialog box that appears, find the dropdown menu and select 'Gift.' This specifies that you are creating a gift card as your product.

Step 4: Set the Pricing Details You will notice two price boxes:

• Default Price Box: Set the purchase price of the gift card. For example, if you are creating a $150 gift card, enter $150 here.
• Credit Value Box: Set the value that the gift card will hold. This can be equal to or greater than the purchase price. For instance, a $150 gift card could be valued at $175 if you're offering extra credit as a promotional deal.

Step 5: Name and Customize Your Gift Card Name your gift card, such as "150 Dollar Gift Card." You can also add an image or other details to make your gift card more appealing.

Step 6: Save Your Product Once you have entered all the necessary details, click 'Save.' This action will save your gift card as a product in your Bottle system.

Step 7: List the Gift Card for Sale Navigate to the specific store within your Bottle setup where you wish to list the gift card. Scroll to the 'Product Availability' section and ensure your new gift card is listed and available for customers to purchase.
