How to Set Up a Paid Membership in Bottle
You can easily create or manage paid memberships within your account. This guide walks you through enabling a paid membership fee — either as a one-time charge or a recurring fee based on order activity.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open the Membership Settings
In the left-hand sidebar, click the three dots menu (⋯).
Select Sell.
From the menu, choose Membership Tiers.
2. Choose or Create a Membership
You can use an existing membership or create a new one.
For this example, we’ll use an existing membership.
3. Enable Membership Fees
Navigate to the Membership Fees section.
Toggle the setting ON to activate the fee feature.
4. Configure the Fee
Once membership fees are enabled, you can customize how the fee works.
Example setup:
Fee Name: Glass Deposit
Fee Type: One-off (single payment)
Amount: $50
This means that when a customer places their next order (or their first order), they will be charged a one-time $50 fee.
5. Set Up Recurring Fees (Optional)
If you want the fee to recur, you can configure it based on order or dollar amount.
Interval Type Options:
Order amount – e.g., charge $50 every 10 orders.
Dollar amount – charge after a certain spend threshold.
Note: Monthly and weekly intervals are planned for future updates.
6. Save Your Settings
Once your configuration is complete, click Save to apply the changes.
Your membership fee is now active! Customers will automatically be charged according to your chosen settings.
